Children’s literature provides an endless supply of jumping-off points for exploration and learning.  Using children’s books as an anchor for teaching is an effective way to harness the intrinsic appeal of books to children and to create an environment in which learning is truly engaging and fun.  

In each session, Little Bird’s Book Time aims to:  

--expose children to a variety of literature   

--foster children's natural love of stories, reading, and writing  

--develop and reinforce appropriate skills  

--provide a non-competitive and supportive environment in which to learn and explore   

--deepen and underscore children’s understanding of the importance of the written word, especially in an increasingly digital age  

A Little Bird’s Book Time class will help nurture your child’s interest in literature and writing.  It is my sincere wish that each of my students will be excited to open the pages of a book, beloved or new, and discover what wonderful learning opportunities await!
